25 Things I Learned On Exposure

1) The exposure on a camera shows you how bright or how dark your photo going to turn out.
2) The exposure is determined by three settings on a camera this includes ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
3) These three settings are not the only things only thing you need to learn on camera those are only essential to becoming a photographer.
4) Aperture: controls the area over which light can enter your camera.
5) Shutter speed: controls the duration of the exposure.
6) ISO speed: controls the sensitivity of your camera’s sensor to a given amount of light.
7) All these settings can be use differently to get the same exposure.
8) The shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light.
9) Shutter speed is a powerful tool for freezing or exaggerating the appearance of motion.
10) Photographers usually care more about the shutter speed because it results in a sharp photo.
11) The best way to find out what’s the best shutter speed to use is to experiment and look at the result on the camera’s rear LCDS.
12) Aperture refers to the opening of a lens’s diaphragm through which light passes.
13) Its specified in terms of an f-stop value.
14) The f-stop number is in any type of camera ,but some have more opinion’s than other’s.
15) The camera’s aperture setting is what determines a photo’s depth of field.
16) Lower f-stop values correlate with a shallower depth of field.
17) The lower the ISO number, the less sensitive it is to the light, while a higher ISO number increases the sensitivity of your camera.
18) The ISO speed and the shutter speed are two similar settings.
19) ISO speed is usually only increased from its minimum value if the desired aperture and shutter speed aren’t otherwise obtainable.
20) Not like aperture and shutter speed, a lower ISO speed is almost always desirable, since higher ISO speeds dramatically increase image noise.
21) Most digital camera’s have one of the standardized exposure mode’s like manual mode.
22) Some modes attempt to pick all three value for the user.
23) The camera’s may also have several pre-set modes.
24) The most common mode include landscape, portrait, sports and night mode.
25) Other additional settings might include the autofocus points, metering mode and autofocus modes, amongst others.
